Consistent experience, reliable gym

I've been a member for a while now, this is my third year. The strength and conditioning classes are always solid, and the equipment is well-maintained. The new Red Light Therapy was a nice addition, it wasn't there when I first joined. They've kept the standards high, which is why I keep renewing my annual membership.

Decent value for the cost

I was looking for a new gym and saw they had a student membership discount. The initial monthly membership cost was fair with the discount. I mostly used the cardio equipment and free weights. For what I paid, and considering the variety of classes available, it felt like a good deal. Definitely better than paying full price somewhere else.

Fun gym, good vibes

I joined up for the monthly membership after my friend told me about it. Honestly, it's a pretty cool gym. The spin classes were intense, but in a good way. The recovery zones are awesome too, especially after a tough workout. Just a generally good atmosphere, not too stuffy like some other gyms. Booking classes on the app was straightforward enough.

Overall positive, minor hiccup

I purchased an annual membership during a seasonal offer. The online signup was smooth, and I received my welcome email promptly. I particularly liked the variety of holistic classes; the yoga sessions were excellent. I had a small question about my locker hire, and customer support responded within a day. The facilities, including the sauna and steam room, were clean, though one steam room was out of order for a day. Delivery of the Gymbox apparel I ordered took 5 days to reach my London address. All in all, a solid experience, and the gym is well-equipped for various training styles.

Love this place!

I just signed up for the monthly membership and it's been fantastic! The BJJ classes are top-notch, and the instructors are really great. I've also tried a few of the functional training sessions, and they really push you. The energy in the gym is amazing! I'm definitely going to keep this membership going.

Hey guys, thinking about joining Gymbox. Are the classes usually packed or can you actually get a spot without setting an alarm for 3 AM?

B Beth Kaur 3 months ago
Depends on the location and time tbh. The popular evening ones, especially HIIT or spin, can fill up fast. I usually book a day or two in advance.

Yeah, it's not too bad if you book ahead. I've heard some people say it's crazy busy, but I've always managed to get into what I wanted, just gotta be on it a bit.

Do they actually provide towels or do I need to lug my own giant beach towel every time?

I Ivy 3 months ago
Yep, they have towel service. Saves a lot of hassle.

They do! You can grab one when you go in, makes life so much easier. No need to bring your own.

I'm a student, do they do any kind of discount for us poor souls?

N Nina V. 2 months ago
Yeah, I think they do. I remember seeing something about a student discount when I was signing up, worth checking their FAQs.

My friend got a student discount last year, I think it was a decent chunk off the monthly fee. You probably need to show your student ID or something when you join.

How do Gymbox memberships compare to like, Third Space? Is it worth the extra cash or is it basically the same vibe?

J June Q. 2 months ago
Gymbox is definitely more 'fun' and edgy, the music is louder, classes are wilder. Third Space feels more premium and spa-like, less chaotic. Depends what you're into.

Third Space is way more chill and fancy. Gymbox is high energy, great classes, but can be a bit intense. I prefer Gymbox for the vibe and class variety, but it's a personal thing.

Any idea about the minimum contract length? Is it always a year or can you do month-to-month?

R Ryan B. 2 months ago
They do monthly memberships, but it's usually a bit more expensive than committing for longer. I signed up for a monthly one last year and just gave a month's notice to cancel.

You can definitely do monthly, but if you can commit to a year, it's usually cheaper overall. Check their membership options on the site, they're pretty clear about the different terms.
